I am a 34 year old male, and I was recently released from prison. Before I went to prison, I was highly addicted to Methamphetamine and lived one of the wildest lives possible. Insanely erratic and heavily destructive. In fact, I was at the point in my life, just prior to being incarcerated, where I was going to start manufacturing Meth. I am so thankful that I got caught. If I hadn’t been slowed down, I would have been stopped dead.
Now I am doing everything correctly. I live a wonderful life free of Meth. Sure, I still have a lot to overcome, but I am doing so and doing so clean. I have been Meth free for 16 months and could not be happier.
I am doing all I can to inform the youth about the very real danger of trying Meth even once. Once it is experienced, it is all but impossible to NOT think about anymore, and the reason is, is that Meth targets a very specific group of brain cells that LOVE Meth. Once you experience it even once, and even an incredibly low dose, you kill cells from this group, and though they grow back when you stop using, this process is time consuming. In fact, it takes up to 2 years for your brain to forget about Meth. I know this for a fact. It took me 14 months to stop dreaming about it… Even though I had not used it one single time in that 14 month period.
Meth doesn’t care about your strength and willpower. It laughs at them and then takes control of your life. You are not strong enough to beat it. No one is. It will hold you down and force itself up on you, raping you, and all you can do is let it, unless you get locked up and separated from it.
I am all about educating the youth. That is my goal. Don’t be stupid. This podcast is gross, yes, but I bet you will have no desire to EVER try Meth after you hear what I have to say.
If you are on Meth, your battle is real and I hope you never reach the heights that I have, but more than likely, you will, and so, listen in and maybe, just maybe, I can help guide you to where you need to be, in order to never look back, like I myself have.
I hope everyone stays free. Stay free.
